‘ MAKE DREAMS REAL’ is the theme for the 2008-2009 year ahead. President
D.K.
Lee’s challenge to us in this year is to plan our programs in an
endeavour to alleviate
the pain and suffering of the under privileged of the world. One
statistic President Lee
produced in his address to District Governors Elect was that 30,000
children under five
years of age die every day. Therefore his emphases for the year are:-
Water, Health and
Hunger and Literacy.President Lee also asks that we concentrate on
increasing Membership..
Margaret and I are looking forward to catching up with old friends (not
so old) and
making new ones. So until we arrive for our “Official” visits take care
and Make
Dreams Real.
